The Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi, was originally established as a department within the renowned Delhi School of Economics, with the objective of developing and nurturing the then nascent field of management education. The founding faculty was trained at the Stanford University Business School and it made a modest beginning with a three-year, part-time, Post-graduate management program in Business Administration for senior and middle level executives in 1954.
